Vitaprost Pharmacodynamics
Vitaprost® has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland. It reduces the degree of edema and leucocytic infiltration of the prostate, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin granules in the atinus secret and stimulates the muscle tone of the bladder. Improves microcirculation in the prostate by reducing thrombosis, anti-aggregant activity, prevents the development of venous thrombosis in the prostate.
On the basis of data of clinical trials it has been proved that Vitaprost® moderately reduces the volume of the prostate gland. The drug reduces severity of obstructive and irritative symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is expressed in increase of maximum and average volumetric speed of urine flow and reduction of residual urine volume.
Data of clinical trials have proved that Vitaprost® reduces the probability of exacerbations of chronic abacterial prostatitis and does not cause changes in indices of clinical and biochemical blood tests and general urine analysis. Effectiveness of Vitaprost® for prevention of exacerbations of chronic abacterial prostatitis according to evaluations of doctors-researchers is 97,5%.
Vitaprost® normalizes parameters of prostate secretion and ejaculate. It relieves pain and discomfort caused by prostatitis, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.
Indications .
Chronic abacterial prostatitis.
Prevention of exacerbations of chronic abacterial prostatitis.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Conditions before and after surgical procedures on the prostate.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Lactase deficiency, glucose/isomaltase deficiency, lactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (the drug contains lactose and sucrose).
Dosage and administration
- Inside, 1 tablet two times a day.
- Duration of Vitaprost® treatment course in case of benign prostatic hyperplasia is not less than 30 days and in case of chronic prostatitis – not less than 10 days.
- For prevention of exacerbations of chronic prostatitis take 1 tablet 2 times a day for at least 30 days – once or twice a year.
