Description
Chondroitin-Akos 250 mg Pharmacodynamics
Sodium chondroitin sulfate (chondroitin sulfate) is a high-molecular-weight mucopolysaccharide that slows bone tissue resorption and reduces the loss of calcium ions (Ca2+). Chondroitin sulfate affects metabolic processes in hyaline and fibrous cartilage, stimulates the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans. Improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in the cartilage tissue, accelerates its repair processes, inhibits the process of degeneration of cartilage and connective tissue. It suppresses enzymes that cause cartilage tissue damage, stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, promotes regeneration of the joint capsule and cartilage surfaces of joints, and increases production of intra-articular fluid.
Due to its structural proximity to heparin, it prevents the formation of fibrin clots in the synovial and subchondral microcirculatory system.
Reduces pain and increases mobility of affected joints.
Slows the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis, relieves symptoms and reduces the need for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The therapeutic effect persists for a long time after the end of treatment.
