Description

Dalargin Pharmacodynamics
Synthetic hexapeptide, analogue of leucineenkephalin. It inhibits proteolysis and promotes healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It has moderate antisecretory activity, reduces the acidity of gastric juice.
It suppresses external pancreatic secretion in response to various stimuli (food, secretin, etc.). In pancreatic lesions in experiment it is shown that the drug reduces hyperfermentemia, limits foci of necrosis and promotes their replacement by full tissue, weakens synthesis of proteolytic enzymes by pancreas.
It has a slight hypotensive effect.

Indications
Peptic ulcer in the acute phase, acute pancreatitis, acute necrotizing pancreatitis.

Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity, arterial hypotension, acute infectious processes, pregnancy.

Dosage and administration method

  • The drug is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.
  • During exacerbations of gastric and duodenal ulcer a single dose of 1-2 mg, the highest daily dose is 5 mg. The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. Total dose for a course of treatment is 30-50 mg.
  • In acute pancreatitis, the drug is administered intravenously in a dose of 2 mg followed by 5 mg 1-2 times daily. The course of treatment is 4-6 days.
  • In pancreanecrosis, the drug is administered intravenously in a dose of 5 mg 3-4 times a day (6-8 hours later). The course of treatment is 2 to 6 days.
