Silibinin Pharmacodynamics
It has hepatoprotective and antitoxic effects. The therapeutic effect is due to the effect on hepatocyte metabolism. It activates the synthesis of proteins and enzymes in hepatocytes, has a stabilizing effect on the membrane of hepatocytes, inhibits the penetration of toxins into the liver cells, inhibits the dystrophic and regenerative processes in the liver.
Indications
Toxic damage to the liver, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis (in the treatment), the state after hepatitis. Prophylactically used in chronic intoxication (including occupational), prolonged drug and alcohol intake.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage and administration
Inside. Children over 12 years of age and adults take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 30 minutes before a meal. The course of treatment – 25-30 days. If necessary, the course is repeated after 1-3 months.
