Papaverine, bendazol – [20 tablets]

Combined drug, has antispasmodic, hypotensive, arteriodilatory action

Bendazole is an antispasmodic agent of myotropic action; it has hypotensive, vasodilatory effects, stimulates spinal cord function, and has moderate immunostimulatory activity.

Papaverine hydrochloride is an antispasmodic agent and has a hypotensive effect. It inhibits FDE, causes accumulation of cAMP in the cell and decrease in Ca2+ content, reduces tone and relaxes smooth muscles of internal organs (GI, respiratory and urogenital systems) and blood vessels. In high doses it reduces excitability of the heart muscle and slows intracardiac conduction. Action on CNS is weak (in high doses has a sedative effect).

Arterial hypertension (labile), spasm of peripheral arteries and cerebral vessels, spasm of smooth muscles of internal organs (including gastric and duodenal ulcer, pylorus spasm, colic, cholecystitis, spastic colitis), poliomyelitis (residual effects), peripheral paralysis of facial nerve.

Hypersensitivity, AV conduction disorders, epileptic syndrome, bronchoobstructive syndrome, children under 3 years of age.

Caution

Impaired intestinal peristalsis, CHM, hepatic and/or renal failure, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, prostatic hypertrophy; pregnancy, lactation.

Administration during pregnancy and lactation

The safety of using the drug during pregnancy and breast-feeding has not been established. During pregnancy and breast-feeding the drug can be used only if the benefits to the mother are expected in excess of the potential risk to the fetus or child.
