Description
Vicalin Pharmacodynamics
A combination drug, has an astringent, antacid, antasmodic and mild laxative effect. Basic magnesium carbonate and sodium hydrocarbonate decrease the acidity of gastric juice, decrease the activity of pepsin. Pure bismuth nitrate forms a protective film on the gastric mucosa, with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, reparative effect. Included in the composition of the calamus rhizomes and kellyn have antispasmodic, laxative bark.
Indications
As part of the complex treatment: peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, hyperacid gastritis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hypoacid gastritis, renal failure, chronic appendicitis, enterocolitis, children under 18 years of age, pregnancy, lactation.

Pregnancy and lactation:
The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Dosage and administration.
- Inside, 1-2 tablets 3 times a day after a meal with 1/4 cup warm water (tablets should be crushed or dissolved in the specified amount of water). The course of treatment 1-2 months. The second course – after consultation with the doctor.
Precautions when using: - It is necessary to consider the possibility of encephalopathy associated with the accumulation of bismuth in the central nervous system during prolonged use of the drug in high doses.
Stool during drug administration turns dark green or black.
