Peppermint tablets Pharmacodynamics
Has a moderate antispasmodic, sedative and choleretic effect. It has a local irritant effect on the nerve endings of the oral mucosa.
Indications
It is used as a symptomatic remedy for nausea, vomiting, spastic pain of the gastrointestinal tract organs.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, deficiency of sugar/isomaltase, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, pregnancy and lactation, children under 18 years (effectiveness and safety has not been confirmed).
Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding period.
It is not recommended to use during pregnancy and breast-feeding period in connection with absence of special studies.
Caution
Diabetes mellitus, cholelithiasis. People who are on a diet
Persons on a low carbohydrate diet.
If you have one of the diseases listed above, before taking the drug be sure to consult with your doctor.
Dosage and administration
- Used 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day. The tablets are kept in the mouth until complete resorption. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets.
- The course of treatment without medical advice – 3 days.
