Melarithm Pharmacodynamics
Is a synthetic analog of the pineal gland hormone (epiphysis). Normalizes circadian rhythms. Regulates the sleep-wake cycle, daily changes in locomotor activity and body temperature. Contributes to the normalization of night sleep (accelerates falling asleep, improves sleep quality, reduces the number of night wakings, improves feelings after a morning wake-up, does not cause a feeling of lethargy, fatigue and tiredness on awakening, dreams become brighter and more emotionally charged).
Adapts the body to rapid change of time zones, reduces stress reactions.
Exhibits immune stimulating and pronounced antioxidant properties.
Inhibits the secretion of gonadotropins and, to a lesser extent, other adenohypophysis hormones: corticotropin, thyrotropin and somatotropin.
It is not addictive or addictive.
Indications
As a sleeping pill.
As an adaptogen for the normalization of biological rhythms.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity, marked renal dysfunction, autoimmune diseases, leukemia, lymphoma, allergic reactions, lymphogranulematosis, myeloma, epilepsy, diabetes, chronic renal failure, pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Usage during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Melatonin is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast-feeding.
Dosage and administration
- Inside. Adults take 1.5-3 mg 30-40 minutes before going to bed once a day.
- As an adaptogen when changing the time zones: 1 day before the flight and 2-5 days after that – 3 mg 30-40 minutes before going to sleep. Maximum daily dose is up to 6 mg per day.
