Grippferon Pharmacodynamics
Grippferon ® with loratadine is a combined medicine with immunomodulatory, antiviral and antihistamine action.
Interferon alfa-2b is an immunomodulatory and antiviral agent.
Loratadine is a blocker of H1-histamine receptors. Reduces capillary permeability and prevents the development of nasal mucosal edema.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARI) as a part of complex therapy in adults, including patients with allergic rhinitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to interferon alfa-2b, loratadine or other components of the preparation, children under 18 years old (because of the lack of data about efficiency and safety of the preparation in children), pregnancy, breast-feeding period. No data on the drug use during pregnancy and lactation.
Directions for use and dosages
- Intranasally.
- For flu and SARS treatment smear nasal mucosa 5 times a day, releasing 1 cm of the drug in each nasal passage within 7 days.
- For the prevention of flu and SARS (after contact with a sick person) 1 time a day (in the morning) to lubricate the nasal mucosa, releasing 1 cm of the drug in each nasal passage for 7 days.
- Before applying the ointment it is necessary to clean nasal cavity, and after application – to massage the nasal wings for better distribution of the ointment on the surface of the nasal mucosa.
