Grippferon Pharmacodynamics
The drug has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antiviral action.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children and adults.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to interferon preparations and components that make up the drug.
Severe forms of allergic diseases.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Grippferon® is approved for use during the entire period of pregnancy in accordance with the age dose.
Dosage and administration
- At the first signs of illness, Grippferon® is used for 5 days:
– 0 to 1 year of age, 1 drop in each nasal passage 5 times a day (single dose 1000 ME, daily dose 5000 ME)
– Ages 1 to 3 years old: 2 drops in each nostril 3 to 4 times daily (single dose of 2,000 ME, daily dose of 6,000 to 8,000 ME)
– Ages 3 to 14 years old – 2 drops in each nostril 4 to 5 times a day (single dose of 2000 ME, daily dose of 8000-10000 ME)
– Adults 3 drops in each nostril 5-6 times a day (single dose 3000 ME, daily dose 15000-18000 ME).
For the prevention of acute respiratory infections and influenza:
– In case of contact with a patient and/or in case of hypothermia, the drug is injected in a single age-appropriate dose 2 times a day. If necessary, the prophylactic courses are repeated;
– During seasonal increase in the incidence of disease the drug is injected in a single dose in the morning at intervals of 24-48 hours. - After each injection it is recommended to massage the nasal wings with fingers for a few minutes for even distribution of the drug in the nasal cavity.
