Venarus Pharmacodynamics
Venarus® has angioprotective and venotonic action.
It reduces tensile strength of veins, increases their tone and decreases venous stasis; it reduces capillary permeability and fragility and increases their resistance; it improves microcirculation and lymph outflow. With systematic use reduces the severity of clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs of organic and functional nature.
The optimal dose-effect ratio is observed when taking 1000 mg per day.
Indications
Venarus® is indicated for therapy of symptoms of chronic venous disease (elimination and relief of symptoms).
Therapy of symptoms of venous-lymphatic insufficiency:
– cramping of the lower extremities;
– Feeling of heaviness and tautness in the legs;
– pain;
– Leg fatigue.
Therapy of manifestations of venous-lymphatic insufficiency:
– swelling of the lower extremities;
– Trophic changes in the skin and subcutaneous tissue;
– venous trophic ulcers.
Symptomatic therapy for acute and chronic hemorrhoids.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the active components or excipients within the drug.
It is not recommended for women during breast-feeding.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Pregnancy
Experiments on animals have not revealed teratogenic effects. To date, there have been no reports of any side effects when using the drug in pregnant women.
Breastfeeding period
Because of lack of data concerning excretion of the drug with the breast milk, it is not recommended to women during the period of breast-feeding.
Effect on reproductive function
Studies of reproductive toxicity showed no effect on reproductive function in rats of either sex.
Dosage and administration method
- Oral.
- The recommended dose for veno-lymphatic insufficiency is 1 tablet per day, preferably in the morning, with meals. The rascal on the tablet is intended solely for division in order to facilitate swallowing.
- The duration of treatment may be several months (up to 12 months). In case of recurrence of symptoms, the course of treatment may be repeated as recommended by the doctor.
- The recommended dose for acute hemorrhoids – 3 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning, afternoon and evening) for 4 days, then 2 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning and evening) for the next 3 days.
- The recommended dose for chronic hemorrhoids is 1 tablet per day.
