Description

Gentamicin-Acos Pharmacodynamics
Bactericidal broad-spectrum antibiotic of aminoglycoside group. It binds with 30S subunit of ribosomes and disrupts protein synthesis, preventing formation of transport and informational ribonucleic acid complex, which leads to misreading of genetic code and formation of nonfunctional proteins; polyribosomes are cleaved and lose the ability to synthesize protein (bacteriostasis). Unlike other antibiotics, aminoglycosides have a bactericidal effect: in high concentrations they reduce the barrier function of cell membranes and cause death of microorganisms.
Highly effective against bacterial skin infections caused by Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes.

Indications
Bacterial skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive microflora – pyoderma (including gangrenous), superficial folliculitis, furunculosis, sycosis, paronychia.
Infected: dermatitis (including contact, seborrheic and eczematous), ulcers (including varicose), wounds (including surgical, sluggish), burns (including with plants), insect bites, skin abscesses and cysts, “vulgar” acne; secondary bacterial infection with fungal and viral skin infections.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to other aminoglycosides in the history).
With caution:
