Formaldehyde (Formagel) Pharmacodynamics
Suppresses the function of the sweat glands, regardless of their secretion, has a disinfectant and antiseptic action.
Indications
Excessive sweating of any origin.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to formaldehyde-containing compounds, including formalin, inflammatory skin diseases.
Children under 16 years of age.
Dosage and administration
- Externally. After taking a hygienic shower and drying Formaldehyde (Formagel) is applied in thin layer for 30-40 minutes on the skin areas with increased sweating (soles, palms, interfinger folds). Then the product is rinsed off with warm water. For delicate, sensitive skin (underarms and palms of the hands of women) apply a thin layer of the product for no more than 20 minutes. After that the skin should be thoroughly washed with warm water without detergents and powdered with talcum powder or baby powder. After shaving armpits Formaldehyde (Formagel) can be applied not earlier than 24 hours. Consumption per application is about 4 g. One application is enough to reduce sweating for 7-12 days. In case of sharply pronounced sweating the procedure is carried out 2-3 days in a row. If necessary, application of Formagel can be repeated.
