Protargol spray Description
The product has a bactericidal effect against Gram-negative bacteria. Silver proteinate dissociates to form silver ions, which have an astringent, antiseptic effect. Silver ions actively inhibit infectious agents by binding their DNA.
Clear liquid from light brown to dark brown in color. Mild opalescence is allowed.
Indications
As a prophylactic antiseptic in the form of sprays with the exposure time of 1-2 minutes.
Contraindications
Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
In case of accidental ingestion, it is recommended to drink a few glasses of water with an adsorbent (for example, 10-15 crushed tablets of activated charcoal in a glass of water). Do not induce vomiting! Seek medical help if necessary.
How to use and dosage
- The solution is used topically.
- How to prepare a 2% solution:
1. Put Protargol 200 mg tablet in a bottle of dark glass.
2. Open the solvent (water for injection) and pour it into the bottle.
3. Close the bottle with a pipette cover, leave it for 15 minutes and then shake thoroughly 2-3 times, if the tablet is not completely dissolved, shake again after 5 minutes.
- Ready to store the solution for no more than 30 days in the dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25 C.
- Before using the drug, it is recommended to rinse and clean nasal passages.
- Adults and children over 6 years: 2-3 drops in each nostril 3 times a day.
- Children 3 to 6 years of age: 1-2 drops in each nostril 3 times a day.
- The effect of the drug is seen after 2 to 3 days.
- If symptoms persist for more than 5-7 days, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
