Lident Baby Pharmacodynamics
Mechanism of action
Liden Baby is an anesthetic used for application to the oral mucosa. Lidocaine has a local anesthetic effect when applied to the mucosa. Cetylpyridinium chloride has antiseptic properties.
Indications
Lident Baby is prescribed for teething.
Lident Baby helps to quickly relieve teething pain and reduces irritation of the gums.
Lident Baby also has mild antiseptic action
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to lidocaine, other amide anesthetics, cetylpyridinium or any other component of the drug;
– Rare hereditary fructose intolerance;
– Infants under 3 months of age.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is indicated for use in children and infants; therefore the information concerning its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not applicable
Directions for use and dosages
- To be applied to the mucous membrane.
- Children
- Lident Baby is intended for children from 3 months of age.
- A small amount of gel (about 7.5 mm) is applied to the tip of a clean finger and gently rubbed into the inflamed area of the child’s gum. If necessary, the gel can be applied repeatedly at intervals of 20 minutes, but no more than 6 times a day.
