Description

Uroderm Pharmacodynamics
It has a keratolytic effect, softens and moisturizes the skin, improves its elasticity.

Indications
In the complex treatment of skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization: ichthyosis and ichthyosiform dermatoses, keratoderma, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie’s disease, follicular keratosis, hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases; omozolellosis, dry skin.
It is used for softening of skin and removal of horny layer in case of warts (before removing) and for softening of nail plates in order to facilitate their trimming and treatment in case of ingrown nail, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Should not be applied to large surfaces in renal, hepatic and cardiovascular insufficiency.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Caution is advised, use after consulting a physician. It is not recommended to apply to extensive surfaces.
Application is possible if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Dosage and administration

  • Outwardly. In skin diseases accompanied with excessive keratinization (ichthyosis, ichthyosiform dermatosis, keratoderma, psoriasis, chronic eczema, disease Devergie, follicular keratosis, omozolellosis, dry skin) the ointment is applied to the aggregated horny layer thinly twice a day. For severe peeling it is possible to use an occlusive dressing. Surface wounds, erosions, cracks, crusts, abrasions are treated with antiseptics before applying the ointment. Treatment is stopped after the removal of horny layers.
  • When hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases ointment is applied 20-30 minutes before antifungal external agents.
  • With warts, the ointment is applied for 2-8 hours under a band-aid, then the softened part of the wart is cut off, after which it can be removed.
  • In case of ingrown nails, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails the ointment is applied to the nails for 20-30 minutes and then the nails are trimmed. If nails are thickened considerably the ointment should be applied 2 times a day with a band-aid and treated after the nails have softened.
  • Duration of treatment for skin diseases depends on the localization and severity of the process and may be several weeks. To facilitate trimming and treatment of nails, the ointment can be used 2-3 times a month, the duration of its use in such cases is not limited.
