Mebicar Pharmacodynamics
The drug refers to the anxiolytic, stress-protective, nootropic agents. It improves oxygen supply to myocardial tissues; normalizes disturbed electrolyte balance of blood, the content of potassium ions in plasma, erythrocytes and myocardial cells; promotes increased protein synthesis and increased energy resources of the cell.
It regulates disturbed night sleep without direct sleeping pills. It does not have a cholinolytic and myorelaxant effect, does not impair coordination of movements. Facilitates or relieves nicotine withdrawal.
Indications
– For the treatment of neurotic disorders (irritability, emotional lability, anxiety, anxious-depressive, phobic and panic disorder), developed as a result of debilitating psycho-emotional, neuropsychological and physical stress;
– in complex therapy for the treatment of patients with cardialgia, coronary heart disease and rehabilitation after myocardial infarction;
– To reduce cravings for smoking tobacco;
– in neurosis-like conditions in patients with alcoholism, to reduce pathological cravings for alcohol and psychoactive substances;
– to improve the tolerance of neuroleptics and tranquilizers.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity.
Dosage and administration
- Orally, 0.3-0.9 g 2-3 times a day (regardless of meals). The maximum single dose – 3 g, daily – 10 g. The course for the prevention and treatment of a few days to 2-3 months, depending on the situation, with mental illness up to 6 months.
