Clin B Pharmacodynamics
Clip B is a saline laxative whose action is based on increasing fluid retention through osmotic processes in the small intestine lumen.
Accumulation of fluid in the ileum leads to distension of its walls, increased peristalsis and subsequent emptying of the intestine.
Indications
Colon preparation for endoscopic or colorectal X-ray examination
-Colon preparation for colorectal surgery
The drug cannot be considered as a treatment for constipation.
The drug Klin B is indicated for use in adult patients.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated when the following diseases/conditions/risk factors are present or suspected:
-partial or complete obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract;
– Primary hyperparathyroidism associated with hypercalcemia;
-associated ascites;
-Gastrointestinal perforations;
-megacolon (congenital or acquired);
-acute inflammatory bowel disease;
-intestinal obstruction (ileus);
-heart failure (see section “Special indications”);
-Renal dysfunction (see section “Cautions”);
-concomitant use with other laxatives containing sodium phosphate;
-Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain;
-Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients;
-children under 18 years of age.
Dosage and administration method
- The drug is administered only to adult patients (over 18 years of age).
- Start taking Klin B on the day before the scheduled procedure.
- If the procedure is scheduled before 12 noon, it is necessary to follow the instructions for the morning appointment. If the procedure is scheduled for after 12 noon, the instructions for daytime administration should be followed.

- The day before the procedure
7:00 Breakfast should be replaced with one glass (240 ml) (or more if desired) of “clear liquid” or water. - The term “clear liquid” includes water without solids: soups (broth), fruit juices without pulp, not strong black tea or coffee, clear carbonated and non-carbonated drinks/water.
First dose of the drug: taken immediately after breakfast. To do this, dissolve the contents of one bottle (45 ml) in half a glass (120 ml) of cold water. Drink the solution and drink one full (or more if desired) glass (240 ml) of cold water.
In order to replenish fluid loss during defecation, you should drink as much “clear fluid” or water as possible. - 13:00 Instead of dinner you should drink at least three full glasses (720 ml) of “clear liquids” or water, if you wish you can drink more than 720 ml of liquid volume.
19:00 Instead of dinner, drink at least one full glass (240 ml) of “clear liquid” or water. An additional large volume of clear liquids may be drunk if desired. - Second dose of the product: Take immediately after dinner. Dissolve the contents of the second bottle (45 ml) in half a glass (120 ml) of cold water.
- Drink the solution and drink one full glass (240 ml) of cold water. If you wish, you can drink a large volume of the “clear liquid”.
- If necessary, you can drink the clear fluid and water until midnight.
- Drinking large quantities of “clear liquid” or water helps to achieve a clean bowel before the procedure.
- Day Appointment
- The day before the procedure
1:00 p.m. A light snack is available during lunch. No solid food should be consumed after lunch until after the procedure.
19: 00 Drink one full glass (240 ml) of “clear liquid” or water instead of dinner. If you wish, you can drink a larger volume of liquid. - First dose of the drug: Take immediately after dinner. Dissolve the contents of one bottle (45 ml) in half a glass (120 ml) of cold water.
- Drink the solution and drink one full glass (240 ml) of cold water.
If you wish, you can drink a large volume of “clear liquid” or water.

In order to replenish fluid loss during defecation, it is necessary to drink as much as possible. Drinking plenty of “clear liquids” or water also helps to achieve a clean bowel before the procedure. - Water and “clear liquids” can be consumed before 8:00 a.m.
Usually this drug causes stools within half an hour to 6 hours. - After the procedure
In order to replenish fluid loss in preparation for the procedure, patients should be advised to drink plenty of fluids after the procedure. - No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients.
