Lorolysin Pharmacodynamics
A combination drug, the action of which is due to its constituent components.
Lysozyme is an enzyme of protein nature, has antiseptic effect due to direct effect on Gram-positive and, to a lesser extent, on Gram-negative bacteria as well as on fungi and viruses; it takes part in the regulation of local non-specific immunity.
Pyridoxine has a protective effect on the oral mucosa (anti-aphtha effect). Does not affect the pharmacodynamic properties of lysozyme.
Indications
Infectious inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, gums and pharynx: gingivitis, stomatitis, catarrhal conditions of the upper respiratory tract, aphthous ulcers, herpetic lesions (in combination therapy), erosions of the oral mucosa of any etiology.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity, children under 3 years of age.
Hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
The drug can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Directions for use and dosages.
- The drug is used topically.
- The tablets should be swallowed slowly, without chewing, retaining the melted mass of the tablet in the mouth as long as possible (until complete dissolution).
- Children of 3-7 years of age are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day, 7-12 years – 1 tablet 4 times a day.
- Adults and children over 12 years of age take 2 tablets 3 to 4 times a day.
- Duration of treatment – up to 8 days.
