Pyobacteriophage polyvalent purified solution for oral administration, local and external use 20 ml – [4 vials]

The drug has the ability to specifically lyse bacteria Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli.

Treatment and prevention of various forms of purulent inflammatory and enteric diseases caused by bacteria Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli.

diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (gastroenterocolitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, intestinal dysbacteriosis);

inflammatory diseases of infants and young children (gastroenterocolitis, intestinal dysbacteriosis, omphalitis, pemphigus, pyoderma, septicemia and septicaemia of various localizations);

Surgical infections (purulent wounds, purulent skin lesions, burns, peritonitis, pleurisy, mastitis, osteomyelitis);

urogenital infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis, endometritis, vulvitis, bartholinitis, colpitis, salpingo-oophoritis);

purulent-inflammatory diseases of the ear, throat, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, lungs and pleura (otitis, sore throat, pharyngitis, stomatitis, periodontitis, maxillary sinusitis, frontitis, pneumonia, pleurisy);

Post-traumatic conjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, purulent corneal ulcer, and iridocyclitis.

 

 

• The drug is used for oral administration (by mouth), as enemas, applications, irrigations, insertion into the cavities of wounds, vagina, uterus, nose, sinuses, and drained cavities: abscesses, abdominal, pleural, bladder, renal pelvis.
• The drug is taken internally on an empty stomach 0.5-1 hour before a meal.
• Recommended dosage of the drug (see instructions).
• Treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases with localized lesions shall be carried out simultaneously both locally and by taking the drug internally.
• In case of treatment of pus cavity with chemical antiseptics it must be rinsed with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution before using bacteriophage.
• In treatment of sore throat, pharyngitis, laryngitis the drug is used for mouth and pharynx rinses 3 times a day by 10-20 ml, the course of treatment is 7-10 days.
• In the treatment of bronchitis, pneumonia the drug is taken orally 3 times a day for 10-20 ml, and is also used in the form of aerosols and inhalations (without heating and the use of ultrasound), the treatment course of 15-20 days.
• During otitis treatment the drug is used for irrigation and insertion into the middle ear cavity 2-5 ml 1-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-15 days.
• For treatment of sinusitis the drug is used to irrigate the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and sinuses with a dose of 5-10 ml and injection into the sinuses with 2-3 ml. The procedure shall be repeated once daily for 7-10 days. In addition, the drug is injected into the nasal cavity in the form of turundae moistened with bacteriophage in each nasal passage in turn and left for 0.5-1 hours. The procedure is repeated three times a day, the treatment course is 7-15 days.
• In the treatment of stomatitis and chronic periodontitis the preparation is used in the form of mouthwashes 3-4 times a day in a dose of 10-20 ml as well as by insertion of turundas soaked in bacteriophage into the paradontal pockets for 5-10 minutes, the course of treatment is 7-10 days.
• In conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis the drug is used 2-3 drops 4-5 times daily, the course of treatment is 5-7 days; in purulent corneal ulcer – 4-5 drops daily for 7-10 days, in purulent iridocyclitis – 6-8 drops every 3 hours in combination with oral administration in therapeutic doses for 7-10 days.
• At an abscess after an opening and removal of purulent contents the drug is administered in an amount less than the volume of the removed pus once a day, the course of treatment is 7-10 days.
• During peritonitis and pleuritis the drug is administered into drained cavities – abdominal and pleural cavities through drainage tubes daily once daily in amounts of 20-70 ml, treatment course of 10-15 days.
• In osteomyelitis drug is administered into the wound cavity through turundas, drains in amount of 10-30 ml once a day, the course of treatment is 15-20 days.
• In the treatment of mastitis, suppuration of wounds and burns the drug is used as irrigation, applications, bandages, insertion into the drainage in a dose of 5-50 ml, depending on the lesion area at least once a day, the treatment course is 10-15 days.
• In treatment of purulent inflammatory gynecologic diseases (suppuration of wounds, endometritis, vulvitis, bartholinitis, colpitis, salpingo-oophoritis) the drug is used for irrigations, applications, injected into the cavity of wounds, vagina, uterus 5-20 ml once a day for 7-10 days.
• In cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis drug is taken orally in a therapeutic dose 3 times a day for 1 hour before meals for 10-20 days. If the urinary bladder cavity or renal pelvis are drained, the drug is administered through cystostoma or nephrostoma 1-3 times a day for 20-50 ml into the urinary bladder and 5-7 ml into renal pelvis, the course of treatment is 7-15 days.
• In gastroenterocolitis, pancreatitis, cholecystitis and intestinal dysbacteriosis the bacteriophage is taken orally in age-appropriate dosages 3 times a day 1 hour before meals for 7-15 days (according to clinical indications). With indigestible vomiting the drug is used in the form of high enemas 2-3 times a day for 20-40 ml. In case of intestinal dysbacteriosis the drug can be used with preparations of normoflora.
• For prevention of nosocomial surgical infections the drug is used for treatment of postoperative and freshly infected wounds in a dose of 5-50 ml once daily for 5-7 days depending on the lesion focus.
• Administration in children under 1 year of age (including premature babies).
• In cases of gastroenterocolitis, pneumonia and sepsis in newborns the drug is taken by mouth 2-3 times a day by 3-5 ml 30 minutes before feeding. In cases of uncontrollable vomiting the drug is used in the form of high enemas (through a gas tube or catheter) once daily in a dose of 5-10 ml. A combination of rectal (in the form of high enemas) and oral administration of the drug is possible. Course of treatment 7-15 days (according to clinical indications). In recurrent course of the disease it is possible to repeat courses of treatment.
