Vitaprost Forte Pharmacodynamics
Vitaprost® Forte has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland. It reduces the degree of edema and leucocytic infiltration of the prostate, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin granules in the atinus secret and stimulates the muscle tone of the bladder. Improves microcirculation in the prostate by reducing thrombosis, anti-aggregant activity, prevents the development of venous thrombosis in the prostate.
Vitaprost® Forte normalizes the parameters of the prostate and ejaculate. It reduces pain and discomfort, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.
The drug has anti-inflammatory and anti-aggregation action, stimulates the muscles of the bladder.
Active substances of prostate extract refers to a group of peptide bioregulators – cytomedinam.
These drug substances are peptides with a molecular weight of 1 to
10 kDa. Low molecular weight peptides are paraa or autocrine in nature and act as transs pecific intra- and intercellular messengers.
Prostate peptides reduce blood clotting time and increase antiaggregation activity of the vascular wall, improve blood microcirculation, enhance blood fibrinolytic activity, increase contractile activity of detrusor myocytes in vivo, in vitro. They have immunomodulatory and immunostimulatory effects, enhance synthesis of antihistamine and antiserotonin antibodies.
At the heart of the application of peptide bioregulators in the treatment of chronic prostatitis is the ability of these drugs to restore microcirculation, have an indirect anti-inflammatory effect by increasing the synthesis of antihistamine and antiserotonin antibodies, as well as their immunomodulatory and immunostimulatory effects.
Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is based on the most important biological effect of cytomedines: organotropicity, which allows to regulate the processes of differentiation and function of cells in the organ from which they are isolated.
Indications
Chronic prostatitis (in the treatment). Benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Treatment of urgent (peremptory) urinary incontinence, urgent (imperative) urge to urination and frequent urination in uncomplicated forms of bladder hyperactivity in women in menopause and postklimakteric period.
Conditions before and after surgical interventions on the prostate.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Dosage and administration
- Rectally. 1 suppository after spontaneous bowel emptying or purging enema once a day.
- After insertion, it is desirable for the patient to stay in bed for 30-40 minutes.
- The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician. Minimum course of treatment with Vitaprost® Forte for benign prostatic hyperplasia is 15 days, for chronic prostatitis – 10 days, for overactive bladder – 20 days.
- Repeated courses are possible if necessary.
- If after treatment no improvement occurs or symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
