Menovazine Pharmacodynamics
Combined drug for external use. It has a local anesthetic effect. Levomenthol when applied to the skin irritates nerve endings, dilates surface vessels of the skin, causing a feeling of coolness, accompanied by analgesic effect and relief of itching. It enhances the anesthetic effect of procaine and benzocaine.
Procaine is a local anesthetic agent with moderate anesthetic activity. It blocks sodium channels, prevents the generation of impulses in the endings of sensitive nerves and conduct of impulses along the nerve fibers.
Benzocaine is a local anesthetic for surface anesthesia. Prevents the generation of pain impulses in the endings of sensitive nerves and their conduction along the nerve fibers.
Indications
As a local anesthetic in cases of neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia and pruritic dermatoses.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, skin integrity disorders or inflammatory skin diseases in the area of intended application (including dermatitis, eczema). Pregnancy, lactation, children under 18 years of age (due to lack of data).
Directions for use and dosages
- Externally, applied to the skin over the affected area and rubbing or applied to the affected areas of skin (itchy dermatoses) 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment depends on the therapeutic effect, but no more than 3-4 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated.
