Description
Acipol Pharmacodynamics
The drug is a lyophilized in culture medium, a mixture of the microbial mass of live antagonistic active acidophilic lactobacilli and kefir fungi inactivated by heating, containing water-soluble polysaccharide, subjected to grinding, packed in capsules.
One capsule contains at least 107 live acidophilic lactobacilli and polysaccharide kefir fungus – 0.4 mg.
The therapeutic effect of Acipol® is determined by the living acidophilic lactobacilli and polysaccharide of kefir fungi it contains. By mechanism of action Acipol ® is a multifactorial therapeutic agent, has antagonistic activity against pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, has a corrective effect on the intestinal microflora, increases the immunological reactivity of the body.
Indications
Appointment:
Prevention and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, in children from 3 months of age and adults; in combination with conventional treatment.
Indications for use
Dysbacteriosis and conditions leading to its development:
– Acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, rotavirus gastroenteritis, etc.);
– Chronic colitis, enterocolitis of infectious and noninfectious origin;
– long-term antibiotic therapy.
Dysbacteriosis and underweight associated with:
– active antibiotic therapy of purulent-septic diseases in infants;
– chronic, prolonged, recurrent respiratory pathologies (bronchitis, pneumonia, including pneumocystic);
– Atopic dermatitis and other allergic manifestations.
Prevention of dysbacteriosis
– Increase the overall resistance of the body.

Dosage and administration
- The capsules are taken orally, without chewing, with boiled water.
- The daily dose and duration of treatment of patients determined by the doctor, depending on the age, severity and duration of the disease and the severity of dysbiosis.
- Children from 3 months to 3 years should take Acipol with food, 1 capsule 2-3 times a day, after opening the capsule and dissolving its contents in milk or boiled water.
- Other age groups and adults Acipol should take 1 capsule 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before a meal.
- In acute intestinal infections drug is prescribed for 5-8 days.
- Longer courses are prescribed for the treatment of children with underweight caused by a chronic course of diseases accompanied by dysbacteriosis.
- For preventive purposes Acipol prescribes 1 capsule 1 time a day for 10-15 days.
- Repeated courses are carried out not earlier than 1 month after the end of the previous treatment.
