Carniland Pharmacodynamics
Sedative and antispasmodic vasodilator, improving, blood flow and myocardial metabolism. The composition is similar in effect to the prescription known as Votcala drops.
Indications
Cushing attacks of angina, cardialgia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nitrates, shock, collapse, simultaneous use of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (sildenafil, vardenafil or tadalafil), age under 18 years (effectiveness and safety not established).
Caution:
Intracranial hypertension, conditions accompanied by decreased left ventricular filling pressure, incl. cardiac tamponade, isolated mitral stenosis, constrictive pericarditis, uncontrolled hypovolemia, heart failure with normal or low pulmonary artery pressure, hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cranial trauma (recent), toxic pulmonary edema, idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, closed angle glaucoma with high intraocular pressure; severe anemia, hyperthyroidism, impaired cerebral circulation, shock, arterial hypotension (systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg). systolic blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg), alcoholism.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation. (If it is necessary to use the drug while breast-feeding, the question of stopping breast-feeding should be solved.)
Directions for use and dosages
- Under the tongue. 10-15 drops are taken with small amount of liquid or put on a piece of sugar and kept in mouth (under the tongue), without swallowing until complete absorption.
- Taking into account individual sensitivity and tolerance, a single dose can be from 5 to 25 drops. Increase a single dose from 15 to 25 drops is possible on the doctor’s recommendation. Frequency and duration of use of the drops depend on the frequency, intensity of angina attacks, efficacy and tolerability.
