Description

Lorotox Pharmacodynamics
Phenazone has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Lidocaine has a local anesthetic effect.

Indications
Local symptomatic treatment and analgesia in children from birth and adults with middle otitis media with intact tympanic membrane, including
– Acute exudative otitis media;
– otitis as a complication of influenza, exudative viral otitis;
– barotraumatic otitis media.
Consult with a physician before using the drug, if necessary.

Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
– perforation of the eardrum (including infectious or traumatic origin);
– Hypersensitivity to Hshrazolon derivatives (drugs containing sodium metamizole, phenylbutazone).
Caution
It is necessary to check the integrity of the tympanic membrane before application. In case of perforated eardrum application the drug may come into contact with the middle ear organs and lead to complications.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
With intact eardrum and the correct way of application of the drug, the likelihood of getting the active substances into the systemic bloodstream is extremely low. In this regard, in the absence of contraindications, it is possible to use the drug by pregnant women and women during breast-feeding. Consult with your physician before using if you are pregnant or if you suspect that you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as well as during the breast-feeding period.

Dosage and administration

  • Topically.
  • Into the external auditory canal on the affected side of the ear for adults and children – 4 drops 2-3 times a day.
  • Duration of therapy: no more than 10 days.
  • Before using the ear drops it is recommended to warm the bottle by holding it in your hand to avoid discomfort associated with getting the cold liquid in the ear. The drops should be given to the patient with the ear turned upwards and the patient should remain in this position for several minutes after the procedure.
  • You should consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2-3 days of treatment.
  • If after treatment there is no improvement or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor.
  • Use the drug only according to the method of use and in the doses specified in the instructions.
