Lactonorm Pharmacodynamics
The composition of the drug Lactonorm acidophilic lactobacillus strains NK1, NK2, NK5, NK12 are representative of normal human microflora. Lactobacillus normalize, maintain and regulate the physiological balance of the vaginal microflora. According to the results of studies in vitro, lactobacillus NK1, NK2, NK5, NK12 do not increase the growth of fungi of the genus Candida albicans.
Indications
The treatment and prevention of vaginal dysbiosis.
Complex treatment:
– Acute, sub-acute, chronic vulvitis and vaginitis,
– Postmenopausal atrophic vaginitis,
– Bacterial vaginosis after antibiotic therapy.
Prevention of postoperative infectious complications, dysbiotic changes in the urogenital tract against the background of antibiotic therapy.
Preparation for routine gynecological surgery and prenatal preparation of pregnant women at risk for inflammatory diseases.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
It is not recommended to use in case of symptoms of vulvovaginal candidiasis (“thrush”).
Use during pregnancy and while breast-feeding:
The drug may be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Directions for use and dosages
- For therapeutic purposes: 1 vaginal capsule 2 times a day (morning and evening) for 7 days. If necessary, the treatment course may be extended.
- With prophylactic purpose: 1 vaginal capsule 1 time a day at night for 7-14 days.
- The treatment and / or prevention should be carried out immediately after menstruation.
- Directions for use:
- Before inserting the vaginal capsule, hands should be washed thoroughly with soap and water
- There are several positions for insertion: lying on your back, sitting on a bidet/toilet or standing up.
- Insert the vaginal capsule into the vagina with your finger as deeply as possible. If necessary, you can moisten the capsule with water beforehand.
