Description

Allergoferon Pharmacodynamics
Allergoferon, a gel for topical and external use, has antihistamine, anti-allergic, antipruritic, antiexsudative, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antiviral action.
Loratadine is a blocker of Hi-histamine receptors. It has a local anti-allergic effect, reduces swelling of mucous membranes and soft tissues, reduces exudation, burning and itching, facilitates nasal passageways, facilitates nasal breathing. It has anti-inflammatory effects.
Interferon alfa-2b – has immunomodulatory and antiviral effect.

Indications
Allergoferon is designed to treat exacerbations of allergic diseases:
– Pollinosis (seasonal allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis);
– Year-round allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis.
Symptoms of exacerbation of allergic rhinitis: itching in the nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, secretion of watery nasal secretion.
Symptoms of worsening allergic conjunctivitis: itching of the eyelids, puffy eyelids, lacrimation, redness of the mucous membrane of the eyes.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 18 years of age, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Administration during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Contraindicated in pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Directions for use and dosages.

  • The drug is used topically and topically.
    In allergic rhinitis the drug is applied by applying 1 cm of the gel to the mucous membrane of each nasal passage 4 times a day for 5-7 days. After applying the gel, massage the wings of the nose with your fingers for even distribution of the drug on the mucosa of the nasal passages. The drug shall be discontinued after the disappearance of clinical symptoms.
  • For allergic conjunctivitis the drug is used by applying 1 cm of the gel on the skin of the upper and lower eyelids 4 times a day for 5-7 days. The drug shall be discontinued after the disappearance of clinical symptoms.
  • After consultation with a physician, if further use of the drug is necessary, the maximum continuous course of application of the drug shall not exceed 6 weeks.
  • In the phase of disease remission (absence of symptoms) the drug is not used.
    If within 7 days of using the drug the therapeutic effect was absent (symptoms have not disappeared or subsided), as well as if there were adverse events, it is necessary to stop using the drug and consult a physician.
