Ichthyol Pharmacodynamics
Anti-inflammatory agent, has a local anesthetic, antiseptic action. Anti-inflammatory effect is associated with inhibition of release of inflammatory mediators. When the rectal introduction of the drug Ichthiol has an irritating effect on the mucous membrane of the rectum, resulting in reflex increased blood circulation in the pelvic organs, improves metabolism, which helps eliminate inflammation in the prostate in men, ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus in women.
Indications
Salpingoophoritis, endometritis, prostatitis – in the complex treatment.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children (under 18 years).
Dosage and administration
- Rectally, 1 suppository 1-2 times a day, after a purging enema or spontaneous bowel cleansing. The duration of the treatment course is determined by the attending physician.
- If after treatment no improvement occurs or symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, consult a doctor. Use the drug only according to the indications, the method of administration and in the doses specified in the instructions.
