Description
Angiorus Pharmacodynamics
The drug is a combination of micronized substances diosmin and hesperidin. This combination has venotonic and angioprotective effect. It reduces venous distensibility and venous stasis, reduces capillary permeability and increases their resistance, improves microcirculation and lymph outflow. When used systematically it reduces the severity of clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs of organic and functional nature.
Indications
Therapy of symptoms of chronic venous diseases (elimination and relief of symptoms).
Therapy of symptoms of venous and lymphatic insufficiency:
– pain;
– cramps of the lower extremities;
– Feeling of heaviness and expansion in the legs;
– Leg fatigue.
Therapy of manifestations of venous and lymphatic insufficiency:
– swelling of the lower extremities;
– Trophic changes in the skin and subcutaneous tissue;
– venous trophic ulcers.
Symptomatic therapy for acute and chronic hemorrhoids.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the active or excipients within the drug.
It is not recommended that women during breast-feeding.
Rare hereditary diseases, such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Use in pregnancy and during breastfeeding
Pregnancy
Experiments on animals have not revealed teratogenic effects. Up to this time, there have been no reports of any side effects when using the drug in pregnant women.
Period of breast feeding
Because of lack of data concerning excretion of the drug with the breast milk, it is not recommended to women during the period of breast-feeding.
Effect on reproductive function
Studies of reproductive toxicity showed no effect on reproductive function in rats of either sex.
Dosage and administration method
- Orally, with meals.
- The recommended dosage for veno-lymphatic insufficiency is 1 tablet per day, preferably in the morning, with a meal.
- The duration of treatment may be several months (up to 12 months). In case of recurrent symptoms, upon the recommendation of the doctor, the treatment course may be repeated.
- The recommended dose for acute hemorrhoids – 3 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning, afternoon and evening) for 4 days, then 2 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning and evening) for the next 3 days.
- The recommended dose for chronic hemorrhoids is 1 tablet per day with food.
