Heparin ointment Pharmacodynamics
Combined drug for external use, the action of which is due to the properties of its constituent components. Direct-acting anticoagulant. Gradually released from the ointment sodium heparin reduces inflammation and has an antithrombotic effect. Promotes the resorption of existing clots and prevents the formation of new ones. It blocks the synthesis of thrombin, reduces platelet aggregation. Inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase, activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood. Benzyl ether of nicotinic acid dilates surface vessels, promoting absorption of heparin. The local anesthetic benzocaine reduces the severity of pain sensations. When applied to the skin has a local analgesic effect.
Indications
Localized infiltrates and swellings of soft tissues, injuries and bruises (including muscular tissue, tendons, joints), thrombophlebitis of superficial veins, subcutaneous hematomas (including post-injection and after phlebectomy), external hemorrhoids.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to the ointment components, ulcerative-necrotic skin changes at the ointment application sites, decreased blood clotting, children under 18 years of age.
With caution
Increased tendency to bleeding, thrombocytopenia.

Administration during pregnancy and lactation
The drug may be applied during pregnancy only when the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus.
Dosage and administration
- Outwardly. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected area at the rate of 0.5 – 1.0 g of ointment per 3 – 5 cm in diameter and gently rubbed into the skin.
- When thrombosis of external hemorrhoidal nodes rectal tampons are used, the ointment is applied to a calico or linen base, which is applied directly to the thrombosed nodes and fixed. For the same purpose, you can use a swab soaked in heparin ointment, which is inserted into the anus.
- The ointment is used 2-3 times a day daily until the disappearance of inflammation, on average 3 to 7 days. The possibility of a longer course of treatment is determined by the doctor.

- Use the drug only according to the indications, the route of administration and the doses stated in the instructions.
