Chlorophyllipt Pharmacodynamics
Chlorophyllipt® is a mixture of chlorophylls obtained from eucalyptus leaves. The drug has antibacterial (bacteriostatic and bactericidal) action, especially against staphylococci, including antibiotic resistant strains. It has anti-inflammatory effect

 

Indications
In combination therapy of infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by staphylococcus aureus, including antibiotic-resistant strains; burns, nonhealing wounds and trophic ulcers of extremities; cervical erosions; for prevention of postoperative complications and also for sanitation of intestines in case of staphylococcal carriage.

 

Contraindications .
– Hypersensitivity to the leaf extract of eucalyptus or any of the excipients.
– When administered orally – age under 18 years, pregnancy, breast-feeding, liver disease, brain injury, alcoholism, brain disease.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is contraindicated for use orally during pregnancy and breast-feeding. External and local application is possible if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus and child. Consult a physician.

 

Directions for use and dosages

 

  • Adults drug is prescribed orally, topically, externally. Children under 18 years of age are prescribed topically and externally.
  • Inside. When administered to adults with intestinal staphylococcus aids, 5 ml of 1% alcohol solution diluted in 30 ml water, 3 times a day 40 minutes before meals daily for 2-3 weeks.
  • Topically. When intestinal carrier of staphylococci, Chlorophillipt® is also administered rectally in enema (20 ml of 1% alcohol solution is diluted in 1 liter of water – the dose for one enema). An enema with the drug is given every two days. Children in the volume (in ml) corresponding to their age. The course of treatment consists of 10 procedures.
  • In the treatment of cervical erosions pre-dry all the folds of the vaginal mucosa and the vaginal part of the cervix with a tampon and lubricate the cervical canal and erosion with a 1% alcohol solution of the drug Chlorophillipt ®, diluted 1:10. Manipulation is carried out for 10 days daily, after which the patient should sprinkle with the solution of the drug (1 tablespoon of 1% alcoholic solution in 1 liter of water). The course of treatment is 2 weeks. If epithelialization is incomplete, the course of treatment shall be repeated.
  • Externally, in the treatment of burns, nonhealing wounds and trophic ulcers, 1% alcoholic chlorophyllipt solution is diluted with 0.25% novocaine solution in a ratio of 1:5, and used in the form of soaked in this solution gauze bandages. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
  • If after treatment no improvement occurs or symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear, you should consult your doctor. Use the drug only according to those indications, that method of use and in those doses specified in the instructions.
