Oksolin ointment Pharmacodynamics
It has antiviral activity by blocking the binding sites of the influenza virus with the surface of the cell membrane, protects cells from virus penetration to them.
Indications
Treatment of viral rhinitis, prevention of flu.
Contraindications .
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components.
Caution
Pregnancy, lactation, children under 2 years of age.
Dosage and administration.
- Topically. Treatment of viral rhinitis: the mucous membrane of the nose is smeared with the ointment 2 – 3 times a day for 3 – 4 days.
- Influenza prophylaxis: During the period of growth and maximum development of an epidemic outbreak of influenza or by contact with a patient with influenza, the nasal mucous membrane is smeared with the ointment 2 to 3 times a day for 25 days.
