Description
Atheroklefit Pharmacodynamics
Atheroklefit® is a liquid extract of red clover herb obtained by double extraction of the raw material with 40% ethanol.
According to the results of preclinical studies, the liquid extract of red clover herb has a moderate hypolipidemic effect: it reduces the concentration of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and increases the concentration of high-density lipoprotein (HDL).
The mechanism of action of the liquid extract of red clover herb is associated with a redistribution of cholesterol from LDL to HDL, in which cholesterol is quickly metabolized and excreted from the body.
Red clover herb liquid extract also helps to reduce the intensity of lipid peroxidation, resulting in a decrease in lipoprotein peroxidation and normalizes the permeability of the vascular wall.
