Tereflex® Hondrokrem Forte Pharmacodynamics
The drug Terefleks ® Hondrokrem Forte has a combined effect: slows the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis, has analgesic effects, increases joint movement (in the application area of the cream), anti-inflammatory effect, reduces joint swelling. Through the optimal combination of the components of the cream noted the mutual reinforcement of their analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Chondroitin sulfate – a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide, which is a natural component of cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in the cartilage tissue, inhibits enzymes that cause damage to cartilage, inhibits the process of degeneration (destruction) of cartilage tissue, stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, regenerates (restoration) of cartilage surfaces of joints, accelerates their reparation processes, prevents collapse of connective tissue. This leads to a decrease in pain and increased mobility of the affected joints.
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, has anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect. Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts metabolism of arachidonic acid, reduces the amount of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the focus of inflammation. Meloxicam is a chondroneutral drug, has no adverse effect on cartilage tissue, does not affect the synthesis of proteoglycan by chondrocytes of articular cartilage.
Indications
The drug is recommended for use in the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, spinal osteochondrosis, and other joint diseases, accompanied by pain.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (as well as to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), violation of the integrity of the skin in the area of intended application, children (under 12 years).
Caution
Impaired renal and hepatic function, marked gastrointestinal pathology (peptic ulcer in the acute phase), the expressed pathology of the blood system, older age.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage and administration
- Outwardly. Lightly rubbing a strip of cream length of 1 to 5 cm, the frequency of use – 2-3 times a day. The amount of product required depends on the size of the painful area. After applying the drug hands should be thoroughly washed. Duration of treatment depends on the indication and the observed effect. After 2 weeks of using the drug you should consult a doctor.
