Chondroitin (Chondroxide) gel Pharmacodynamics
Chondroitin (Chondroxide) gel has a combined effect:
– Slows the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis;
– has analgesic effect;
– has an anti-inflammatory effect;
– stimulates the restoration of articular cartilage;
– improves joint mobility;
– reduces swelling of the joints.
The Chondroitin (Chondroxide) gel contains a synergistic blend of components that enhance both its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. This means that using the gel can help lower the amount of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs needed to be taken.
Chondroitin (Chondroxide) contains a natural component of chondroitin sulfate (a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide), which is involved in the construction of cartilage.
Chondroitin sulfate:
– improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage;
– reduces the activity of enzymes that degrade cartilage;
– inhibits the process of degeneration (destruction) of cartilage tissue;
– stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans;
– prevents collapse of the connective tissue.
This leads to a decrease in pain and increased mobility of the affected joints.
Indications
Degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the peripheral joints and spine: treatment and prevention of osteoarthritis, spinal osteochondrosis.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to Chondroitin (Chondroxide) components. Damage to the skin in the area of application of the drug.
Caution
Pregnancy, breast-feeding, children.
Usage during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and breast-feeding the drug is used only after medical advice and with caution, the duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.
Dosage and administration.
For external use. Chondroxide gel is applied 2-3 times a day to the skin over the lesion and gently rubbing in patting movements for 2-3 minutes until completely absorbed. The course of treatment – from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months. If necessary, repeat the course of treatment.
