Silocast Pharmacodynamics
Silokast® is a drug for prevention and treatment of conditions related to hair loss. As an active ingredient it contains 1-chloromethylsilatran (organosilicon biostimulator) that penetrates hair follicle cells, stimulates hair growth and improves hair structure. Castor oil included in the preparation improves nutrition of hair roots and helps to strengthen them.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of hair loss.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to 1-chloromethylsilatran and other components of the drug.
With caution: pregnancy, breast-feeding, children.
Dosage and administration.
- Used topically. Shake the product well before use to mix the components of the solution. Use a cotton pad, gently blotting or a pipette to distribute the preparation on the scalp covering from the crown to the temporal region and then circle at intervals of 1.5-2 cm. The necessary amount for one application is 3-4 ml (up to 5 g) of the drug. Do not rub and massage the head strongly. Leave on for 3 hours, then rinse with shampoo.
- For preventive purposes apply 1-2 times per week before hair washing to the scalp and leave on for 3 hours, then wash out with shampoo. The course of 10-12 treatments.
- For the treatment – 2 times a day, morning and evening, apply the drug to the scalp for 3 hours, then rinse with shampoo. The course of 10-12 treatments. Between courses of 10 – 14 days. The number of courses of 1-5 per year depends on the severity of the disease and is individual.
- If after treatment no improvement or symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
