Hydroperit Pharmacodynamics
Hydroperit belongs to the group of antiseptic agents-oxidants and is a complex compound of hydrogen peroxide with urea. During the interaction of hydroperit with such body enzymes as catalase and peroxidase oxygen is released, which exhibits hemostatic and antimicrobial action, so after dilution the drug can be used instead of the ready-made hydrogen peroxide solution. During its application only temporary reduction of microorganisms occurs, so it is not advisable to use it as a means of sterilization.
Indications
Hydroperit in the form of an aqueous solution is used for rinses and gargles for stomatitis, tonsillitis, gynecological diseases, capillary bleeding from superficial wounds, nosebleeds.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
Using the drug during pregnancy and breast-feeding is possible by doctor’s recommendation.
Dosage and administration
- Hydroperit is used in the form of an aqueous solution.
- To rinse the mouth and throat dissolve 1 tablet in a glass of water (0.25% hydrogen peroxide solution). For irrigation, dissolve 4 tablets in a glass of water (1% hydrogen peroxide solution). One tablet corresponds to 15 ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution.
- If after treatment no improvement occurs or symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear, consult a physician.
- Use the drug only according to the indications, the route of administration and the dosage indicated in the instructions for use.
