Cefecon N Pharmacodynamics
Cefecon N has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action. Naproxen and salicylamide are NSAIDs, mechanism of action of which is connected with inhibition of GH synthesis and influence on thermoregulation center in hypothalamus. Caffeine has psychostimulant, analeptic and antispasmodic effects on smooth muscles, it stimulates striated muscles, reduces platelet aggregation and releases histamine from mast cells.
Indications
-As an analgesic in pain syndrome of mild to moderate severity: neuralgia, myalgia, sciatica, lumbago; degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteochondrosis, osteoarthritis); headache, toothache, migraine; dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation);
-As an antipyretic: febrile syndrome with colds, infections, inflammatory diseases.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, gastric and duodenal ulcer (acute phase), full or partial combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent polyposis of the nose and sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or others. NSAIDs (including in anamnesis), hypocoagulation, severe renal and/or hepatic insufficiency, arterial hypertension, organic diseases of the cardiovascular system, heart failure, blood diseases, edema, pathology of the vestibular system, hyperexcitability, insomnia, closed-angle glaucoma, children (under 16 years), pregnancy, lactation.
Caution
Elderly people (older than 70 years of age).
Dosage and administration
- Rectally. The suppository is released from the envelope and after bowel emptying or purging enema, the suppository is inserted deeply into the rectum, 1 suppository 1-3 times a day. After insertion of the suppository requires a stay in a horizontal position for 30-40 minutes.
- Duration of use without consulting a doctor is not more than 5 days when prescribed as a pain reliever and 3 days as an antipyretic.
