Chrysalis extract Pharmacodynamics
The drug is of plant origin. has m-cholinolytic and antispasmodic action. Prevents stimulating effect of acetylcholine; reduces secretion of salivary, gastric, bronchial, lacrimal, sweat glands, external secretory function of the pancreas. Reduces muscle tone of gastrointestinal tract, bile ducts and gall bladder, but increases sphincter tone; causes tachycardia, improves atrioventricular conduction. It dilates pupils, hinders outflow of intraocular fluid, increases intraocular pressure, causes accommodation paralysis. The pharmacological action of the drug is caused by the complex of alkaloids included in the extract of crassavka (hyoscyamine, scopolamine, atropine).
Indications
Hemorrhoids, anal fissures.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug; closed-angle glaucoma or suspected glaucoma; decompensated chronic heart failure; tachycardia; myasthenia; obstructive diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, gateway stenosis, intestinal atony, active ulcerative colitis; prostatic hypertrophy with urine outflow disorders; pregnancy, breast-feeding; age under 18 years (safety and efficacy in children have not been established).
With caution:
If body temperature increases (possibility of fever and heat stroke due to suppression of sweat gland activity), reflux esophagitis, esophageal hernia, cholecystitis, autonomic neuropathy, hyperthyroidism, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure, mitral stenosis, kidney disease.
Administration during pregnancy and breast-feeding:
The use of the drug in pregnancy and during breastfeeding is contraindicated. If it is necessary to apply the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Directions for use and dosages
- Rectally, after a purging enema or self-emptying. 1 suppository 2-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose of 10 suppositories. Before using the drug, hands should be thoroughly washed. The suppository is taken out of the contour cell package and inserted into the rectum. For maximum therapeutic effect the suppository should be inserted as deeply as possible.
- The duration of treatment is 5-7 days. If after treatment, improvement does not come or symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor. Use the drug only according to those indications, that method of use and in those doses specified in the instructions.
- Repeated courses of treatment should be carried out on the doctor’s recommendation.
