Cytovir-3 syrup Indications
Prevention and comprehensive treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children from one year of age.
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, diabetes, pregnancy, children under 1 year of age. If necessary, please consult your doctor before taking the drug.
Precautions for use: Consult a physician before taking Cytovir-3 syrup if you have arterial hypotension.
Administration during pregnancy and breastfeeding: During pregnancy Cytovir-3 syrup is not recommended due to insufficient clinical data. During the period of breast-feeding the drug may be used if the estimated benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the child. If it is necessary to apply the drug during the breast-feeding period, please consult the physician.
Dosage and administration
- Orally 30 min before meals.
- For treatment:
- Children aged 1 to 3 years – 2 ml 3 times a day; children aged 3 to 6 years – 4 ml 3 times a day; children aged 6 to 10 years – 8 ml 3 times a day; children over 10 years – 12 ml 3 times a day.
- The course of application is 4 days. If after 3 days of treatment there is no improvement or the symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor.
- For prophylaxis:
- – In direct contact with a patient with influenza and other acute respiratory infections:
- Children aged 1 to 3 years – 2 ml 3 times a day; children aged 3 to 6 years – 4 ml 3 times a day; children aged 6 to 10 years – 8 ml 3 times a day; children over 10 years – 12 ml 3 times a day.
- The course of application is 4 days.
- Prophylactic courses, if necessary, shall be repeated in 3 weeks (until normalization of epidemic situation).
- Take the drug only in accordance with the method of administration and in those doses that are listed in the instructions. If necessary, please consult a doctor before taking the drug.
