Timogen spray Pharmacodynamics
It has a regulatory effect on the reactions of cellular and humoral immunity and nonspecific resistance. Stimulates regeneration processes in case of their inhibition. It improves the processes of cellular metabolism. Increases the expression of differentiation receptors on lymphocytes, normalizes the number of T-helpers, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and their ratio in patients with various immunodeficiencies.
Indications
-Prevention and comprehensive therapy of acute and chronic viral and bacterial diseases of the upper respiratory tract.
-Prevention of suppression of immunity, hematopoiesis, regeneration in post-traumatic and postoperative periods.
-Integrated adjuvant therapy to correct secondary immunodeficiency in radiation therapy, chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy.
-Comprehensive therapy of acute and chronic infectious-inflammatory diseases accompanied by a decrease in immunity.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug components, children under 1 year of age. If necessary, please consult a physician before taking the drug.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Due to insufficient clinical data, the drug administration during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only by physician’s prescription if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus or child. Please consult a physician before taking the drug.
Directions for use and dosages
- Topical.
- Hold the bottle by the base with the thumb and the dispensing nozzle between the middle and index fingers. Insert the dispensing nozzle in the nasal passage in upright position. Press the nozzle once.
- The drug is administered intranasally (into the nose) in doses:
- Adults: 1 dose (one injection) into each nasal passage 2 times a day for 10 days for therapeutic purposes or for 3-5 days for prophylactic purposes.
- Children: from 1 to 6 years of age – 1 dose in each nostril once a day, from 7 to 14 years – 1 dose in each nostril once a day. The drug is used for 10 days with therapeutic purpose or for 3-5 days for preventive purposes. Repeated course of Timogen is carried out not earlier than in 1 month.
