Gyoxysone Pharmacodynamics
Combined drug, inhibits the development of inflammatory reactions of the skin, especially of allergic origin, complicated by bacterial infection,1 as a result of the combined action of the components that make up the drug. Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic of the tetracycline group that has a bacteriostatic effect. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsia spp., Treponema spp., Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasma spp.
Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticosteroid, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic effects. Inhibits phagocytosis.Reduces the formation of arachidonic acid from phospholipids of cell membranes due to inhibition of phospholipase A2 activity. Inhibits the release of interleukins and other cytokines that have anti-inflammatory effects; inhibits the release of histamine and the occurrence of local allergic reactions. Reduces protein synthesis and deposition of collagen in the skin, inhibits the development of connective tissue, and weakens proliferative processes.

Indications
Infections of the skin treated with glucocorticosteroids and complicated by secondary bacterial infection caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline: dermatitis (including allergic, contact, seborrheic, sunny, atopic), eczema, erythema multiforme, superficial burns, insect bites.

Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity, tuberculosis, skin tumors, skin precancerous conditions, mycosis, viral skin diseases (herpes, varicella), pregnancy, lactation (when applied to large lesions), children under 12 years of age.
Administration during pregnancy and lactation
Administration during pregnancy and lactation in a limited area, such as a lactating mammary gland, is possible if the expected benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. A physician should be consulted.

Dosage and administration

  • Externally.
  • A thin layer of 0.5-1 grams 1-3 times a day on the affected areas or sterile gauze, which cover the skin, bandaging, bandage. Duration of treatment is individual and depends on the degree of damage and localization.
  • The course of treatment shall not exceed two weeks. When using the drug on the skin of the face the ointment should be applied once a day in a thin layer or dotted on the elements, and the course of treatment shall not exceed 7-10 days.
