Videstim Pharmacodynamics
Videstim ® stimulates skin regeneration, increases the reproduction of skin epithelial cells, inhibits the process of keratinization, prevents the development of hyperkeratosis. Local action is due to the presence of specific retinol-binding receptors on the surface of epithelial cells.
Indications
Inflammatory diseases and skin conditions accompanied by dryness and delayed healing: dermatitis, eczema, atopic dermatitis without exacerbation, cheilitis, cracks (including breast nipples) and abrasions, age-related skin changes, as well as diseases associated with impaired keratinization processes. It is used to activate reparative processes in various dermatoses after cessation of treatment with glucocorticosteroids.
Contraindications .
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug, hypervitaminosis A, acute inflammatory skin diseases.
Dosage and administration method.
- Outwardly. The ointment is applied a thin layer on the affected skin twice a day: early in the morning and late in the evening. If the skin is very flaky, you can use an occlusive dressing.
- Before applying the ointment, cracks and abrasions are treated with antiseptics. The ointment is applied to cracked nipples in nursing mothers 2 times a day, morning and evening after feeding, with a break of 12 hours. The mammary gland should be washed with warm water and soap before the next feeding after applying Videstim® ointment.
- The duration of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and may be 4-12 weeks.
