Description
Valokordin Pharmacodynamics
A combination drug, the action of which is caused by the pharmacological properties of its constituent components. It has a sedative and antispasmodic effect.
Phenobarbital has sedative (in low doses), hypnotic, muscle relaxant and antispasmodic effect. It helps to reduce excitation of the central nervous system and facilitates the onset of sleep, enhances the sedative effect of the other active substance.
Ethylbromisovalerianat has sedative (similar to effect of valerian) and antispasmodic effect, mainly on receptors in the mouth and nasopharynx, resulting from irritation, reduction of reflex excitability in the central nervous system and increased inhibition in the cortex and subcortical structures of the brain, as well as reducing the activity of central vasomotor centers and a direct local spasmolytic effect on smooth muscles.
Indications
As a symptomatic sedative in functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, in neurosis-like states accompanied by increased irritability, insomnia, tachycardia, states of agitation with marked vegetative manifestations.
