Furacilin solution Pharmacodynamics
Antimicrobial agent, unlike other chemotherapeutic drugs causes conformational changes in proteins and other macromolecules, leading to cell death.
It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Resistance develops slowly and does not reach a high degree.
Increases the activity of the reticuloendothelial system (RES), enhances phagocytosis.
Indications
Purulent wounds, bedsores, acute external and otitis media, minor skin injuries (including abrasions, scratches, cracks, cuts).
Contraindications .
Hypersensitivity to Furacilin solution, bleedings, allergodermatosis, violation of the integrity (perforation) of the eardrum, pregnancy and lactation, children (under 1 year).
Directions for use and dosages
- Topically: In otitisitis the alcohol solution is heated to body temperature, daily drops of 5-6 drops 2-3 times a day or inserted into the ear canal on turundas.
- Externally: irrigate wounds and apply moist warm compress.
