Cranberry extract (Uronorm) – [30 tablets]

The composition of Uronorm® is strictly standardized for proanthocyanidins (PACs). The content of PAC in each tablet of Uronorm® is 36 mg. This daily dose appears in the guidelines of the European Urological Association (EUA) with good experience of urinary tract infection prophylaxis.

Cranberry extract. The main biologically active substances of cranberry fruit extract are proanthocyanidins (PAC) – micronutrients related to the polyphenol compounds contained in plants and berries and have antioxidant, antimicrobial properties.

Antimicrobial properties of proanthocinidins cause their protective effect, including against infectious and inflammatory phenomena in the urinary system. Studies have found that proanthocinidins prevent the attachment and reproduction of microorganisms on the epithelium of the urinary tract, thereby facilitating their removal, as well as helping to improve the body’s defenses.

Antioxidant properties of cranberry extract are also determined by the presence in the composition of ursolic, citric and chlorogenic acids, whose protective properties are due to their ability to reduce the activity of free radicals.

Also cranberries are rich in organic acids, flavonoids, tannins and carotene.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is involved in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, helps to increase the body’s resistance to viral and bacterial infections, tissue regeneration, reduces the permeability of capillary walls.

Ascorbic acid has antioxidant properties, is involved in immune reactions, and creates favorable conditions for the reproduction of microorganisms in the urinary tract.

1 tablet of URONORM® contains 36 mg of proanthocyanidins and 60 mg of vitamin C.

Due to the high content of proanthocyanidins, the cranberry fruit extract in the Uronorm® food supplement helps to keep the urinary system in a healthy state.

According to scientific data, in the presence of such unfavorable conditions as too humid and (or) hot climate, stress, irrational hygiene, some women can increase the risk and probability of repeated episodes of urinary tract infections. Increased urine pH seen during menopausal age is a factor in the increased incidence of urinary tract infections. Factors such as diabetes, corticosteroid use, and use of barrier contraceptives also increase the risk of recurrent urinary tract infections.
