Psilo-Balm Pharmacodynamics
Anti-allergic effect of Psilo-Balm® is due to the presence of diphenhydramine hydrochloride in its composition, which is a blocker of H1-histamine receptors and thus quickly reduces itching, pain, hyperemia, reduces the increased permeability of capillaries, tissue swelling, causes local anesthesia, due to which Psilo-Balm® has a pleasant cooling effect. The special gel base protects the skin and leaves no visible residue.
Indications
Sunburn and first-degree burns; insect bites; urticaria; skin itching of various origins (except for itching in cholestasis): pruritic dermatoses, eczema, chicken pox, allergic skin irritations, contact dermatitis caused by contact with plants.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, the simultaneous use of any drugs containing diphenhydramine, use on large areas of skin, children under 2 years of age.
Caution
Damage to the skin at the site of application, application on the mucous membranes.
Usage during pregnancy and lactation
Administration of the drug during pregnancy and lactation requires evaluation of the potential benefit to the mother and the possible risk to the fetus and child.
Directions for use and dosages
- Outwardly. Psilo-Balm® is applied 3-4 times a day to adults and children over 2 years old on the damaged skin areas (a 3-5 cm strip of gel on the palm-sized area of the lesion) and spread it by gentle massaging motion.
