Immunofan Pharmacodynamics
The drug has immuno-regulating, detoxifying, hepatoprotective effect and inactivates
free radical and peroxide compounds. Pharmacological action is based on achieving three main effects: correction of the immune system, restoration of the balance of oxidation-antioxidant response of the body and inhibition of multiple drug resistance mediated by cell transmembrane transport pump proteins.
Indications
Used in adults and children over two years for the prevention and treatment of immunodeficiency and toxic conditions, chronic inflammatory diseases of various etiologies. In adults, as an adjuvant in vaccinations against bacterial and viral infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, complicated by Rh conflict, children under 2 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and during breastfeeding, use only if the anticipated benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and child.
Dosage and administration method
- Rectally. A single dose and a daily dose is 100 micrograms (1 suppository).
- During the treatment of cancer patients within the scheme of radical combined treatment (chemoradiotherapy and surgery):
– Once, daily, treatment course of 8-10 suppositories before chemoradiation therapy and surgery with subsequent continuation of the course during the entire period of treatment. - In patients with advanced tumor process (III – IV stages) of different localizations as a complex or symptomatic therapy:
– Once, daily, treatment course of 8 – 10 suppositories, with a break of 15-20 days and repeating the course during the whole period of subsequent treatment. - In children with malignant diseases of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissue:
– 1 time per day, daily, treatment course of 10-20 suppositories. The drug should be administered during the whole course of chemoradiotherapy and after the course to prevent the development of toxemia. - In the complex therapy of children with papillomatosis of the larynx and oropharynx:
– 1 time per day, daily, treatment course of 10 suppositories. - In opportunistic infections (cytomegalovirus and herpes infections, toxoplasmosis, chlamydia, pneumocystis, cryptosporidiosis):
– Once a day, daily, treatment course of 15-20 suppositories. - In the treatment of HIV infection:
– 1 time per day, daily, treatment course of 15-20 suppositories. If necessary, repeat courses in 2-4 weeks. - In chronic viral hepatitis and chronic brucellosis:
– Once a day, daily, treatment course of 15-20 suppositories, to prevent relapse should be repeated courses in 2-3 months. - In diphtheria:
– 1 time per day, daily, treatment course of 8-10 suppositories. When diphtheria is bacteriocarried once in 3 days – 3-5 suppositories. - In the treatment of III-IV degree burns with toxemia, septic toxemia, in surgical patients with septic endocarditis, long non-healing wounds of extremities, pyo-septic complications:
– 1 time per day, daily, treatment course of 7-10 suppositories, if necessary, the drug course should be continued up to 20 suppositories. - In bronchoobstructive syndrome, cholecystopancreatitis, rheumatoid arthritis:
– 1 time every 3 days, the course of treatment is 8-10 suppositories, if necessary, the course should be continued up to 20 suppositories at the same interval. - In the treatment of psoriasis:
-1 once a day, daily, the course of treatment is 15-20 suppositories. - In adults in the scheme of vaccine prophylaxis once on the day of vaccination.
